Recommend Monday!

Good Monday Everyone!

Hope you had a spectacular week and a fabulous weekend. Can't wait to hear what you're recommending today!

My week consisted of a lot of busy work. Having let everything go but the bare necessities to get SWEET REWARD turned in caused me to be way behind on so many things. And though there's still lots to do, at least I can see the bottom of my desk, which is definitely progress.

One of the many things I worked on last week was getting ready to promote this upcoming SWEET trilogy. Buying ads, arranging blogs, readying excerpts, putting verbiage together for my bookmark designer. Lots and lots of stuff to do. I really want these books to do spectacularly well so if you have any ideas, feel free to throw them my way. (:

In the midst of all my busy work, I did manage to read Karen Rose's You Belong To Me and all I can say is: Karen Rose is brilliant! Mystery, romance, suspense, great characters, superb writing--You Belong To Me has everything. I absolutely loved it! And though I know many of you have already read and loved it, if you haven't, I highly recommend the book--actually all of her books are awesome!

Oh, before I forget, an excerpt of SWEET REVENGE is coming this week. I didn't get it to my web designer in time for her to put it up last week, but it should go up this week. As soon as it does, I'll jump on and let you know. If you want to read the very beginning, there is a short excerpt on my Facebook page, here's the link:

And can you believe we're below the 50 day mark for the release of SWEET JUSTICE? Yay!!! Reviews are already coming in and I'm so excited because they're fabulous. Will share some with you soon!

Next week, I'm going to make some announcements about upcoming contests, so stay tuned for that! Also, if you haven't signed up for my newsletter, be sure to do so. There will be a special giveaway for newsletter subscribers only. The link to sign up is on the lower right hand side of my homepage.

Okay, I'm headed back to my writing cave for some writing and planning. Have a great week! Now, tell us what great books we should be reading!

  2. Last week was a busy week, working in London. I read Lori Foster's Savor the Danger and it took me pretty much all week to finish it. It was really good. I read another book on the plane ride home, had a secret baby theme, but I didn't really like it because there didn't seem to be an real "valid" excuse for keeping the baby a secret.

Today is release day for Fatal Consequences by Marie Force. I was almost ready to jump off a bridge because my Kindle died last week, but then I realized I could set it up on my iPod. So, I'm trying to get some reading done in between loads of laundry!!!

  3. Happy Monday....last week was very busy here. We are getting ready for new flooring this week, so we basically had to pack up the entire house. I told the hub-unit that if we need to replace floors ever again, we are just going to move!!

I had some good luck last week with books. I finished Angel's Rest by Emily March. This was my first book by Emily. I really liked the story.

Lets see....also, finished Lucy Monroe's Ready...I think Ronlyn recommended this one, and I really liked it. I bought the next one already. I love me some alpha maleness!!!

I finally finished Savor the Danger by Lori Foster. I know some people haven't liked this one, but it was my favorite. I loved Jackson!! I sincerely hope Arizona is the next book, I liked that set-up.

I also read one my one of my favorite authors but I really hated it, and couldn't even finish it because of so many errors in the writing. BUT, since she is one of my favs, I won't hold it against her....much.

Looking forward to Marie Force's new release today. I love Sam and Nick, can't wait to read the new Fatal book!!!!

    Have a great week everyone!

  4. Hi all! Happy Monday!

I also read Angels Rest by Emily March and enjoyed it. My first by her also.

Hope, good luck with the floors. The thought of packing up our house is the reason we have yet to finish our floors either. Like you, i think I'd rather just pack then move. Also, I loved lucy's Ready, Willing, and Able books. Enjoy the rest in the series.

Pulling up the the airport, so I'll check back in when I land, and I have Marie's new book to get me through my flight today.

Have a great week, and stay cool, for all of us dealing with this heat.

    Can't Hurry Love-Christie Ridgway
    Call Me Irresistible-SEP

Hot sweet novella called Brazen or Bust by Anara Bella. Love the best friend's sister theme.

    Now enjoying:
    Playing Dirty-Susan Andersen
    Deliberate Deceptions-Leah Braemel
It's the 3rd book in The Hauberk Protection series for those of us who love rom. susp. Loved the first 2 & this one is awesome so far.

  6. I just finished The Perfect Play by Jaci Burton. Just. Finished. It. Now trying to come up with a believable excuse as to why nothing has gotten done around here. ;)

Hope, I really like that Monroe trilogy. It has been a long time since I've read it. May need to schedule a reread.

Mary, I just got my hands on the new Andersen book. I'm anxious to get started on it.

AND, I definitely agree with those who mentioned the newest FATAL book by Marie Force. Such a great series, and Fatal Consequences will no doubt satisfy readers' need for a Nick and Sam fix.

  7. Hi Everyone!

Apparently I wasn't alone in reading Emily March this weekend. Very little got done at my house, I spent the WE reading Angel's Rest, Hummingbird Lake, and Heartache Falls. My favorite of the series so far is Angel's Rest.

I also read and enjoyed Give Him the Slip by Geralyn Dawson, who I found out later is Emily March! LOL!

Tonight I'll be starting Fatal Consequences!

    Have a good week everyone!

  8. Hi Anonymous! (Have a feeling I know you but not sure, so won't say) (:

So glad you're looking forward to the upcoming books. Not long now!

Thanks for the recommends. Haven't read either of these two series yet. Will look for them!

  9. Oh Kris, London sounds like such fun, even though it was work. Okay, I'm getting Lori's new series asap. Have heard tremendous things and want to jump on the bandwagon. (:

Yay for the new Fatal book! I just downloaded it and can't wait to get caught up on Sam and Nick again. Marie's going to come back to the blog in August and give us an update on everything she's got going on--which is a lot. She's amazing!

Enjoy your laundry and great book!

  10. Oh Hope, on having to pack up for new flooring. Yay for the new, but boo for the packing. I hate packing, although it does give you a chance to go through stuff and get rid of what you don't want. Still no fun. Hope you like the new floors!

Oh, I'm going to check into Lucy Monroe's books. Weren't there 3 of them? Ready, Willing and Able? Thanks for the recommend!

Enjoy your visit with Sam and Nick and have a great week!

  13. Kara, I think there's a 'no housework or laundry' rule that applies when there's an unread book in the house. At least, that's my rule around here. (:

Haven't read Jaci Burton's new series but have to admit, I've drooled over the covers quite a bit.

    Have a great week!

  14. Alison, sounds like you had the perfect kind of weekend. Reading a great new series. And how cool that you read and enjoyed Geralyn Dawson too without knowing they were the same person.

Enjoy your visit with Nick and Sam in Fatal Consequences. Looks awesome, doesn't it?

    Have a great week!
