Recommend Monday!

Good Monday Everyone!

Hope you had a successful week and fun-filled weekend. And really hoping to see lots of book recommendations today. I'm getting restless not reading my favored genre and feel the need to immerse myself into some fabulous reads!

As you know, I had hoped to launch the Ella Grace website last week. Well, I learned a hard lesson. I am not a techie person and though I knew that, I decided to pretend otherwise. It didn't go well. My poor web designer was probably screaming at every email I sent her. But lesson learned. Let the professionals do their jobs and stay the heck out of their way!

Also, I got the news last week that the release date for MIDNIGHT SECRETS has been pushed back a month. The new release date is April 30, 2013. A little bit of a disappointment but not that much longer of a wait.

However, I am pleased to announce that the Ella Grace website is now officially live! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ella Grace website

Please note that it's EllaGraceBooks.com Hope you enjoy!

Also, I have a major contest announcement coming next Monday, October 1, for this Christy Reece blog. Be sure to come back for that. I think you're going to love it!

On the writing front, things are going well in Midnight. Endless surprises this writer did not see coming are happening in MIDNIGHT LIES. So exciting!

Because Ella's site is now live, I'll start talking more about it over on that site. Which means, on this blog, I'll talk about CHANCES ARE and what's going on with Angela, Jake and the LCR gang. Stay tuned because I hope to be able to share an excerpt with you soon. I think Angela is going to surprise many of you. She's certainly surprised me!

Okay, that's it for me. Can't wait to hear what books you're recommending. Remember, when you recommend a book, you're performing a public service for both readers and authors. So please tell us what we should be reading!

Have a great week all! And be sure to come by and say hey to Ella!

  1. Hi Christy!
I'll definitely be hopping over to check out your new site.

Waiting until April 30th for Midnight Secrets is going to be rough, but they say good things come to those who wait, right?

I read two great books this weekend by Judith McNaught...A Kingdom of Dreams and Whitney My Love. Both were so amazing I hit the used bookstore and lost my mind a little buying more of her books. I'm sorry it took me so long to read one of McNaught's books.

    Have a great week everyone!

  4. Hi,
I read Teresa Reasor's new one, Breaking Through and totally loved it. I'm in middle of Victoria Dahl's Close Enough to Touch and although it has mixed reviews on Amazon, I'm liking it. (Note to Hope---hot cowboy alert!!)

Congrats on getting the website up and running Christy. I will check it out ASAP. :)

  5. Recommending an author and her books. I just finished Laura Kaye's new book Her Forbidden Hero. I loved it, and have loved just about everything else she has written. I would also like to recommend Too Darn Hot by Pamela Burford. I found this on Amazon.com and loved the book. Very good read and will be looking for more books by Pamela.
Have a great week and will be checking site for some recommendations for myself.

  6. I would also like to add another series and author. I just found her about a month ago and fell in love with her series and now have all seven books and loved them all. Her name is Elle Kennedy and it is called the Heat series. Very quick reads. Great characters, great secondary characters. Very steamy and sexy, will definately need a cold glass of water to cool down while and after reading.

  7. First time commenter here... But I have to say I really like this recommend monday thing! So I have to recommend M.L. Buchman. 2 books out so far and I'm about done with the second and both are great reads. I was a little worried because I don't usuallly like male authors in romance but they were a nice surprise.

  8. Hi Christy,Hi Everyone!
Its good to be back to normal after two very relaxing weeks in Denmark.I read lots of great books - so it will be quite a list today.
But first - Congratulations for your new Ella Grace website, Christy. I just checked and it looks fabulous - and you confirmed my opinion: you are a great tease -so many snippets of information about Midnight, Alabama and the characters to come and we will have to wait till April next year to read the book!
Hopefully Chances Are will be out soon.

    So here is my list:

By Joyce Lamb: Flash Heat,Relative Strangers, Found Wanting, Cold Midnight .

By Jaycee Clark: Angel Eyes, Black Aura and The Dream ( it is a Historical - Regency England but has much more depth than other books set in the same time period -it was among my fav. holiday books)

By Dee Davis:Enigma, Endgame, Exposure ( with Harrison Blake. the hero in Dees latest book in the A-Tac series)

By Julie Ann Walker: In Rides trouble ( the second book in her Black Knights series)

Dream Lake by Lisa Kleypas ( a bit heavy on the paranormal side but I needed do read Alex story)

A Killing Tide by P.J. Aldermann ( a new to me author- I wanted to continue right away with the second book "Phantom River" but sadly it is not available on Kindle ).

Thats it for now - have a great week everyone!

Missy, those Lena Diaz books sound right up my alley. Will definitely check them out!

Kris, I have Tereasa Reasor's on my Kindle. Looking forward to it.

Hi Chrisbails! Thanks for all the recommends. I've read Elle Kennedy's Midnight Rescue and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm wondering if that's the same series. Will definitely check out Laura Kaye and Pamela Burford.

Hi johogan! Welcome to the Recommend Monday blog! Will definitely have to check out this ML Buchman. Sounds very interesting!

Elke! So happy to see you back here again. Missed you! And wow oh wow, you got lots of reading done, didn't you. Good for you! Looking forward to checking out several of them, especially Jaycee Clark's historicals. I love those kind of meaty historicals. And thanks for the kind words on my website. It's still a work in progress but I'm getting there! (:

Hi KC! Still have KA on my 'must read' list. She has a huge fan base and I need to jump on board!

Hi Hope! LOL No one is later than me. And remember our motto here: It's never too late to recommend a good book! I hope you got out of your reading slump and found something great to read.
