Good Monday All!
Hope you had a fabulous weekend and in the U.S., a fantastic Independence Day. And thanks to those who commented on the blog about your favorite way to celebrate the 4th. Congrats to Laurie for winning the following: NO CHANCE, SECOND CHANCE, LAST CHANCE, a digital download of CHANCES ARE, a signed copy of Ella Grace's MIDNIGHT SECRETS, $15 Amazon gift card, and surprises! Yay, Laurie! Will contact you soon for prize delivery.
My family had planned our usual 4th get together but postponed it because of rain. We're still hoping we can get together but every single day, we've had rain. I think we might need to get together and start building an ark!
Since I couldn't be with my family, I spent most of the holiday with my new characters. NOTHING TO LOSE is coming along very well. And I'm almost to the point that when I read over what I've written, I don't sob. LOL As you might guess, this book is not a comedy. However, I do see an HEA on the horizon. But you know how I love to torture my characters. :)
I didn't read a lot last week, but did start a new book yesterday and am already enthralled. I think it was a book that someone recommended on my Facebook page--Kill Shot by Liliana Hart. Anyone read it? It starts off with an incredibly evil villain (which you know I love) and then introduces a tough but vulnerable heroine and a super sexy hero. Sigh... I can't wait to get back to it.
I'm going on a major writing binge this week. Next week I'll be at the RWA National Convention in Atlanta and I know I won't be able to write as much as I want. Will any of you be at the conference? If so, I hope you'll say hey if you see me. Would love to meet you!
Okay, that's it for me. I'm headed back to Kennedy and Nick in NTL. Can't wait to see what they're up to now!
Have a great week all! Now...tell us what we should be reading!

I am so happy you are enjoying Kill Shot it is a great book!! I started reading Singed by Kaylea Cross.
ReplyDeleteHello All!!
ReplyDeleteI only have one book to recommend this week.....SINGED, the second book in Kaylea Cross's Titanium Security Series. I just finished it the other day and it is fantastic!!
I reviewed it for Kaylea so feel free to check this out on Goodreads. Kaylea is an excellent storyteller so I'm sure you all will enjoy it.
Kill Shot is on my "to read" list. I've only heard good things about it. Hopefully I'll get to it soon!
I wish I could go to your Author's conferences. They sound like such fun.....and the chance to meet my favourite authors would be awesome. They just don't have them close enough to home for me to attend :(
Have a great week everyone!!
Nicole
I read Deadly Recall by Donnell Bell and would strongly recommend as well as her first book, The Past Came Hunting. She's new but very good.
ReplyDeleteI was not aware of this blogspot until relatively recently. Sorry Christy! So, I have read books I read earlier that I would like to recommend. Hopefully, that's okay.
If you have not read Defending Jacob by William Landay, you are missing out on a great book. It is suspense rather than RS but you won't be able to put it down.
I just discovered a fantastic author named Rebecca Zanetti. The book I read was Forgotten Sins. It's the first in a series about brothers raised to become killing machines. The heroes are super sexy and very alpha.
ReplyDeleteHi Christy/All,
ReplyDeleteSorry you got rained out on your 4th plans, but I am happy it lead to more writing.
Kaylea Cross seems to be a theme here today and I am jumping on that bandwagon. I finished her first in the Titanium Series, Ignited. Loved it and can't wait to read Singed.
Sorry, no Atlanta for me, but have fun, Christy!
Have a great week everyone! And congrats Laurie on the win.
After a long holiday weekend, I'm exhausted! Lots of fun with friends and family, along with pretty fireworks and a birthday celebration for my granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteGlad to settle into the norm and pick up where I left off in the middle of "Edible" by Ella Grace. The last book of her "Exquisite" series is every bit as good as the first one. A fantastic trilogy.
I also read "The Mourning After" by a new-to-me author, Adriane Leigh. It's filled with angst and a love triangle that almost broke my heart into pieces.
Back to hot and humid with lots of sunshine. I'm staying in where it's cool! Hope everyone enjoys lots of good books this week!
I have been in a slight reading slump lately, considering I was not feeling well last week. I should have been able to read tons. Unfortunately I only have a few recommends today.
ReplyDeleteOn Dublin Street by Samantha Young- I was surprised that I liked this as much as I did. I will be reading the next one for sure.
Lush by Lauren Dane. This one was classic Dane, super sexy.
Happy Reading!!
Hi Everyone!! Congrats Laurie!!
ReplyDeleteI got caught up with Marie Force's Fatal series reading Fatal Deception and Fatal Mistake this weekend, both so good!
Have fun in Atlanta Christy!
Happy reading everyone
I don't know if anyone has suggested Pamela Ann. I love all of her books. Try the "Torn" series, the first book is "Scornfully Yours"
ReplyDeleteHi Christy and Everyone!
ReplyDeleteI am late again and very busy before our vacation. So just a short recommend:
I discovered a new to me author: Calle J Brookes and her PAVAD series( a series about a special FBI unit). I read the fisrt two : "Watching" and "Wanting" and started "Hiding" just yesterday. They are really good and should be read in order.
Happy reading Everyone!
Hey All! Great recommends last week. I got a couple of them already. Hope you got some, too.
ReplyDeleteBe sure to stop by today's Recommend Monday. It's going to be a short and sweet one since I'm a packing maniac today.
See you soon!
