SWEET Saturday

Happy Saturday All!

The weekend finally arrived! Hope you've got some plans to enjoy yourself! I was anxious for today to arrive because I had so much I wanted to get done. Don't think that's going to happen though. Yesterday, I came down with what we call in the South, the creeping crud. Which can basically describe anything from a cold or sinus infection to the flu or pneumonia. LOL Mine is probably just a cold, but it feels worse because, well...it just does!

Yesterday's challenge was taken up by so many. It's exciting to see so many of you jump out of your comfort zone and try something completely different. Can't wait to see if it brings some of you over to a completely different way of thinking about certain sub-genres. Have fun with it!

Today I thought we'd talk about upcoming books. Before I started writing full time, I used to peruse websites, chat rooms and online bookstores to see what was coming in the next few months from my favorite authors. I don't do that as much as I used to, so I know I miss out on a lot of anticipation--which is all part of the fun, isn't it?

I do know two upcoming books I'm excited to buy and that's Allison Brennan's new Lucy Kinkaid series. The first one, Love Me to Death, releases on December 28 and looks to be awesome. The other one is Karen Rose's new book, You Belong to Me. Though the U.S. release isn't until June 7, I think it released in the UK already, or is about to be released, not sure. But from what I've heard, it's going to be another nail biting, suspenseful ride. Allison and Karen are two of my auto-buys.

So, here's today's discussion question: What upcoming books are you excited about?

I'm going to go get under the covers and dream of warm, sunshiny summer weather. I look forward to seeing what you're excited about reading.

Have a great day everyone!

  6. Hi Christy sorry to hear you are feeling ill hope you will be better soon.
As the release dates of your " sweet trilogy" is far far away (late next summer right ?) I am looking forward to Allison Brennans next book ( I have already preordered it) and finally to Izzies book "breaking the rules" which releases as a hardcover in February I think.

Have a nice weekend all. I am off to the airport now.

Im still very new to the romance world, so I would have to say im more in the catch up phase than the find new book phase. lol Cant wait to see what books everyone posts about. Have to keep building that wish list.

Sorry to hear you are still not feeling well Christy! Hope you feel better soon

  22. Wow, some great books are coming next year, aren't they? I'd forgotten some of my favorites...must be the cold medicine!

And I'm so glad to see that several of you are looking forward to the SWEET books!

Aly, if you want to post your entire list here, feel free!

Luci, hope you feel better soon! Is it cold where you are? Looks like you've got some great books to keep you occupied.

And thanks all for the get well wishes. Other than I feel like I just went a couple of rounds with a boxer, have a head filled with cotton and headache, I'm doing much better. I think chicken soup is in my future!

  23. Christy - you are going to scoff but 8 degrees celcius is waaaay too cold for me. Malta is quite a warm country - we never get snow so you can imagine it never goes below zero here. If we get lots of hail we are all awed :). Having said that I feel very cold in winter at Malta temperatures I could never survive in germany, London, Paris and all the countries experiencing freezing temperatures at the moment.

  24. Makin' a list and checkin' it twice -- there are so many -- and Santa, baby -- I've been a really good girl!

Top of the heap: The "SWEET" books by Cristy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ONE WAS A SOLDIER - Julia Spencer-
    Fleming

    WITHOUT REMORSE - Cindy Gerard

    BREAKING POINT - Pamela Clare

    "FATAL" series - Marie Force

And all those books already posted by you guys!

I've been lucky enough to get an early peek at both "EVERYONE LOVES A HERO" by Marie and "WHISPER FALLS" by Toni Blake. Both such wonderful reads. You'll definitely not want to miss out on them! Marie's ELaH is such wonderful contemporary romance and off-the-charts good (running close close second to LINE OF SCRIMMAGE -- and you guys know how much I loved LOS!). And Toni Blake's "Destiny" series continues to get better and better.

2011 is looking to be a great year for readers!!

Hope you're enjoying a HO HO HO weekend!!!
